The university library provides access to over 200 000 e-books through Ebook Central. Ebook Central offers mostly academic books in English. You can also access e-books from home.
You can read the e-books directly online or you can choose to download them. To download e-books and read them offline, you need to create a user account on Ebook Central and download the Ebook Central app.
- The Ebook Central app is available for different types of devices and can be found in, for example, App Store and Google Play.
- To activate the app, log in to your Ebook Central user account (use the link to Ebook Central on the university library website).
- Click on “Profile” and navigate to “EBC App Devices”. Here you will also find a link for downloading the app to different devices.
- Once you have downloaded the app, click the link “Manage/Get Code” and select “Get Login Code”. You will receive a registration code that you need to enter the first time you open the app.
- To read an e-book, download it to your Ebook Central bookshelf via the website. The e-book will then become visible in the app.
When you have created an Ebook Central account, you can save interesting books to your personal bookshelf, mark pages, underline passages, make notes and more. You can also save and print out a limited number of pages.
