Login for e-resources

The library’s e-resources

Some of the library’s e-resources require you to log in if you are outside the university’s network. For example:

• article databases
• e-books
• dictionaries
• encyclopedias
• journals (full-text)

E-resources at the university and the city library

When you use a computer at the university or in the course book library at Mariehamn city library you do not need to log in to the library’s e-resources. You have direct access to them by clicking on the e-resource on the ÅUAS library website. If you use Chromebook, a laptop or a  mobile, remember to use the university’s wireless network, which is accessible in the university buildings and at the city library.

E-resource access from home

When you are at home or otherwise outside the university network, you will need to log in using your Åland University of Applied Sciences user account to make use of our e-resources. When you click on an e-resource the login box will appear automatically — log in using your user account. Once you have logged in, you can use the e-resources in the same way as you would on the university network.

NB: It is not possible to use passwords containing the letters å, ä and/or ö when using the e-resources. In that case, please change your password.
