Login for e-resources

The library’s e-resources

Some of the library’s e-resources require you to log in if you are outside the university’s network. For example:

• article database
• e-books
• lexikon
• encyclopedias
• journals (full-text)

E-resources at the university and town library

When you use a computer at the university or in the course book library at Mariehamn’s town library you need to log in to the library’s e-resources. You have direct access to them by clicking on the e-resource’s name link. If you use Chromebook, a laptop or a  mobile, remember to use the university’s wireless network, which is accessible in the university buildings and at the town library.

E-resource access from home

When you are at home or otherwise outside the university network, you will need to log in using your Åland University of Applied Sciences user account to make use of our e-resources. When you click on an e-resource the login box will appear automatically — log in using your user account (the Windows username for your Åland University of Applied Sciences account) and password. Once you have logged in, you can use the e-resources in the same way as when you are on the university network.

NB: It is advisable to change your password if it contains the letters å, ä and/or ö, as it will not be possible to log in to the e-resources with a password making use of them.
